Our vision statement guides our principles and business practices:
To become the most successful and respected internet and LAN gaming centre in the UK. We will provide a safe, comfortable environment and reliable environmental technologies to give our customers a premium 'communitainment' experience. Sustainability
Top of the Page
netpama is committed to a role of environmental responsibility in all facets of our business.
We believe that we can and should contribute to a cleaner, greener and altogether more sustainable society. This does not mean just complying with the law, our mission is to operate in an ethical manner across the whole of our business and actively look for ways to improve our environmental performance. We have looked at each aspect of the business that affects the environment and have drawn up a list of our priorities and more importantly, what we’re doing about them.
Computing equipment
We don’t like slow computers, and more importantly we don’t like computers that are built without concern for the environment. This is why all of our machines are custom built in-house. This way we can choose award winning components that respect the earth.
We are doing our best to avoid environmentally sensitive materials as much as possible and use parts that are capable of being recycled at the highest level. We only buy respectable brands or from manufacturers that have company policies that respect the earth. For example, our hard drives are lead free, our motherboards are RoHS compliant, and we use aluminium cases instead of plastic for easier recycling. Our computing equipment has Eco Labels TCO ’99 or TCO ’03.
Energy
We try to reducing energy consumption, for example, we use LCD monitors because they only consume half the power compared to a traditional CRT monitor and of course LCD screens are flicker free. So are far more friendly to your eyes. All our machines are now equipped with silent high efficiency power supplies. Over the year we have tested, monitored and changed our power supplies. Without sacrificing internet and gaming performance we have managed to save 3.52 kw per hour which is equivalent to thirty-five 100 watt light bulb or enough energy to power 35 bedrooms!!!!
At netpama we don't believe it's cool to use a 1000w power supply with two power hungry graphic cards to play computer games! We have started to use silent heat pipe cooled graphic cards. This is passive cooling so a power hungry fan is not needed. We have been using the high performance, energy efficient AMD64 CPU since Nov 2004 and we are committed to changing the remaining 16 PC's fitted with power hungry Pentium 4's ASAP.
Where ever possible we use energy saving light bulbs in our centre.
Even our toilet is fitted automatic lighting!

CO2
we are doing our best to be energy efficient and that is one way to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere. Forest restoration is another way and we contribute by buying, selling, and using paper with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification. All the paper is from recycled sources or a product of managed forestry. Although we don't plant tree outside our shop at the moment, we do grow pot plants throughout our gaming centre and not just for decorative purposes! It's sometime the smaller things that make all the difference. Turning off lights, turning down heating systems or fixing leaky taps.We are looking into off-setting by investing in renewable energy schemes and new technologies. It's not about appearing to do the right thing, it's about really doing the right thing.
Recycling
We run a recycling scheme at netpama as well as encourage our customers to recycle. We recycle both our ‘time code’ cards and our shop waste, which includes cans, plastic bottles, cartons, papers, card-board boxes, and aluminium containers. We aim to continually improve our performance and foster a culture of environmental responsibility among the netpama team.Community

This creates a tradition of caring that has led us to be recognised by the council and awarded in 2006 a ?????
